17th century clay pipes are commonly found on the Isle of Scilly, any excavation uncovers them broken and discarded in fields and ditches. You can find examples of them on displayed in the Island Folk Museum. When it comes to displaying them they are piled up in abundance, like bones in a catacomb.
‘Jacob’ is more unusual. He is an ornate pipe, ostentatious, a cut above the rest, and for that reason he is displayed on his own.
The sailor doll on the left belongs to my Father, and the one to the right belongs to me. The dolls are like pin cushions, they display our personal collection of badges from concerts and events over the years. I still add to mine.
The only two people I know from South End both happen to have snow globe collections. Coincidence? No such thing as coincidence.
It’s probably never snowed in Las Vegas.
